I’m excited to share lots of new sessions in the next few days—starting with McKenzie! We’ve been busy since the start of this year with our new studio in Quarry Ponds and we are thrilled to be blessed with such an amazing space! I’ll be posting a “studio tour” on our blog VERY SOON—I get lots of emails from other photographers asking about it so for those of you that are out of the area stay tuned for a fun tour here on the blog.

McKenzie is a beautiful girl—she’s one of our current 2012 Spokesmodels and I first photographed her last summer between her junior and senior year during one of our model shoots. We get lots of questions about our Spokesmodel program and I have a post coming up next week announcing the NEW 2013 Spokesmodel campaign entitled “EVERY GIRL IS BEAUTIFUL”…watch for that and for the application to be posted here and on facebook and twitter as well. ABOUT THIS SHOOT: McKenzie SMILES all the time—and her eyes LIGHT UP when she does! She has a great sense of style and one of my favorite outfits included a short jean vest and head-band. At first she wondered if she should wear the head-band and I said YES YES YES—it was adorable and looked so good on her with her hair style. As it turns out, that sequence of images was amoungst her favorites. I love accessories that add color and texture to an outfit for the perfect touch in an image.

She had her family with her at the shoot and I was able to capture McKenzie with her brother Charlie in an image or two as well! Here are a few of my favorites from her session, together with an image from her model shoot as well:
