Tonight we were all watching a program on PBS TV that included a history of Jerusalem…and as I watched I envisioned a bride in a white dress standing amongst the ruins…
Okay. So that’s a little odd…
But wow. The beauty of it…in my mind.
It’s the texture and the dramatic contrast and the lines and the light and shadows…
I said "wow. I could REALLY get into that place with my camera." My son said "mommy, not EVERYTHING is about pictures".
He’s right.
LIFE is more than "pictures". LIFE is more than "photography". LIFE is more than a camera.
But to me, life is…art.
Photography isn’t about…"taking pictures".
It’s about *seeing* beyond the obvious. It’s *seeing* the mystery in something…seeing the hidden pictures and exposing them.
In photography, it’s called "seeing the picture within a picture".
To me, it’s simply seeing the "art" in life.
Loved playing with grain in these photos!
Love starting my day with a new post in your blog – always gives me a lift! Beautiful “art” Teri!
You are so right, Photography is ART. I always look around me for nice scenery for shoots. Not everything is about photos, but you can see the beauty of everything through photos :)
