I love tutus. I always have. Mabye it’s a left-over love-affair with ballet that I just never got over. I remember my pink ballet slippers. Black ones too. And my leotards and tights. And oh. That. Tutu.

Have you noticed that so many dress styles now incorporate tule in the skirt—almost like a mock-tutu? It’s because dress-makers know that we girls secretly wish we could wear those beautiful tutus that we see posted all over Pinterest and every where else these days.  They’re girly and frilly and oh-so-sassy.

I decided that there is no reason we can’t…there simply is no reason not to wear a tutu just for fun. Thus, the concept of “Glam the Dress…Vintage Style”.  A photo session designed around a girl…her accessories…and a tutu. Completely vintage style and positively posh. A fun little Glam the Dress session—with a twist.

Here are a few images of Tori and Paige—wearing tutu’s. But not for ballet. No, this is just….because. In fact, Tori said “this is the first time I’ve ever worn a tutu!”. So bring it on girls…ask for the VINTAGE GLAM SESSION!

Tori. Paige. And a few tutus thanks to Linda Gunter:

Absolutely beautiful! I see SB’s influence…but you definitely have your own style. Are these girls senior age? I’m photographing a 13 year old and was going to do something with the tutu also…and the ubiquitous flowers in the hair. Very nice!

Wendy—thanks. Yes, SB influence but very important that we photographers do it “our way” because THAT is what makes your brand stand out from the rest of the “copy cats”. There have been a TON of “SB” influenced images popping up EXACTLY the way she does it. I say…do it YOUR way with YOUR style first and foremost. FYI these girls represent the “teen” genre of photo sessions, specifically for HS seniors but we are marketing it to tweens on UP. :) ~T
